South Africa stamp






Protea is a South African flowering plant. It is also known as sugar bushes.


The king Protea which resembles a crown is the largest flower of all proteas.





Protea is the symbol of hope because they can survive wildfire.


In 1976 the king Protea became the national flower of South Africa.






Artist Dick Findlay designed these Protea flower stamps for South Africa.
